Our nearest beach, at just over 2 miles away from Perran Springs Holiday Park. At low tide the golden sands of Perranporth beach stretch for 3 miles and not surprisingly, is very popular with families. Lifeguards operate on Perranporth beach during the long summer days, with bathing and surfing areas clearly marked with flags. Chapel Rock is a small outcrop on Perranporth beach, and has a small pool built into the rock itself, which is filled by the tide. Dogs are also welcomed.
The small shopping street of Perranporth is tightly packed with shops offering a variety of beach goods and souvenirs. The street also includes a number of cafes, restaurants, pubs, a small supermarket and a surf hire shop, with boards and clothing. Perranporth Golf Club stands on top of the dunes and has wonderful views over the beach and sea. Nearby in the hamlet of Reen, there are riding stables, where you can experience pony trekking. The name ‘Perranporth’ is derived from both ‘St Piran’, the patron saint of tin miners and ‘porth’ meaning ‘landing place’.

We are situated within the Goonhavern village boundary. Just a short level stroll away you will find the popular local pub The New Inn, Bridge Stores with Post Office and the Goonhavern Garden Centre Complex, complete with a popular restaurant, quality greengrocers, pet grooming salon and a pet supplies store.
Our popular local pub The New Inn, serves Cornish ales and offers a varied food menu, sourced from quality local suppliers. The beer garden has a children’s play area and they welcome well behaved dogs if you choose to drink and relax outside.
Our local shop and post office in Goonhavern Village – Bridge Stores, (Londis) is just a short walk away, as we only have a Fishing Tackle Shop on-site. The local village shop sells alcoholic drinks, cigarettes, newspapers, magazines, flowers, freshly baked pasties and sausage rolls, chilled goods, frozen food items and greetings cards etc. There is also a Post Office within the store which offers a cash withdrawal service. Opposite the shop there is also a popular children’s play park.
Our local Goonhavern Garden Centre Complex, is only approximately half a mile away. The Garden Centre itself offers a wide variety of garden gifts, ornaments, homewares and bird feeders, or you may choose to purchase a small plant to take home as a gift for friends or family.
Our nearest local café / restaurant – The Bay Tree Restaurant, is in the Goonhavern Garden Centre Complex. So, if one morning, you don’t’ feel like cooking a fry-up on the camping stove, treat yourself to a nourishing breakfast. All the food is cooked fresh on the premises and the ingredients are sourced from local suppliers where possible. After a morning swim in the sea, re-energise yourself with a light bite and a cup of tea. Hearty meals are readily available from an all-day menu and a specials board. You’ll be dazzled by the variety of freshly baked cakes, scrumptious Cornish cream teas and locally made ice cream too. The staff are barrista-trained, ensuring an expert cup of coffee and they will make you feel right at home as you recline in the cool, spacious dining area.
Our nearest local greengrocers – Mr Fruity, is also in the Garden Centre Complex. A large range of fresh quality produce is available, including a vast array of fruit, many types of veg and a salad selection. Quality local produce is also available – all at very reasonable prices.
If you are on holiday with us, and have forgotten to bring your pets’ favourite toy, why not visit Doggies and Moggies in the Garden Centre Complex and treat them! The local shop has a large selection of food, bowls, toys and leads, plus many extras. You’ll end up with a happy pet whilst you’re camping or caravanning. For an extra treat, take your doggy along to the pet grooming salon, preferably not just before they go for a roll in the sand or a soak in the sea!

Just returned home after an 8 night stay at Perran Springs. Returning here after many years I wasn’t disappointed. The pitch allocated was enormous. Tents aren’t crammed in as on some other sites we have visited. The toilet and shower block is immaculate all of the time. Lovely hot showers and a hairdryer ( 20p a time which is ample). There is also a launderette on site with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities, a baby changing room, a seperate space on site for wet suit/ board washing, plenty of washing up areas across the park with hot water all of the time.
The park also boasts a lovely play area which the children made good use of, a recreation field with goal posts for ball games, frisbee etc. There are no ball games allowed around the pitches which is absolutely fair enough and the play field provides a more than adequate area to run around.
The fishing lakes are stunning and so well maintained. We don’t fish but saw plenty of others relaxing round the lakes. If fishing isn’t for you I would still highly recommend a stroll around the lakes which are home to an abundance of wildlife. Early morning or evening is just magical.
Just a few miles out of Perranporth and a perfect location just off the A30 Perran Springs is the ideal site for exploring Cornwall..we will most definitely be coming back soon!! We can’t recommend it highly enough!!
Just come back from a week on this lovely quiet campsite!!The pitch was fab,everything was close by!!shower blocks were so clean,lovely hot water!!The owners were lovely,friendly & helpful!!ideally located 3 miles from perranporth!!Me & my husband had a great time,we were so lucky with weather!!!We will be back next year!!Thankyou for having us.

Our camping pitch areas: Swift, Pheasant, Jay, Owl and Woodpecker are all within easy reach of our facilities. If you have an area preference, we will do our utmost to accommodate your request.
Washing-up is made easier for all the family by the thoughtful positioning of 24hr dishwashing facilities with free hot water, complete with a drinking water tap and waste water disposal point, all within thirty metres of most camping pitches.
